There are no secrets to the perfect tan, just things you don’t know yet. So lets fix that!
We believe that using our tanning ritual will make you look as if you have just spent the day on a luxury yacht sailing in the Med!
STEP 1 - PREP - This primes your skin to be the best possible condition for tanning.
STEP 2 - TAN - A cool lotion applied with a soft tanning mitt is a beautiful experience.
STEP 3 - BOOST - Add a finishing touch for extra highlight and glow.
To perfect your tan it takes more than just coating yourself in a tan lotion. Consider your make up application, would you expect a perfect look by applying foundation without a moisturiser beforehand or some blusher or bronzer afterwards?
For the best result your tan should start with primed skin, followed by a great natural looking tan shade and then for that final dimension add highlight, contour or shimmer to really lift the tan & make it look sensational.
Don’t forget to tan behind your ears, essential if you have a pixie cut but even if you love your long wavy locks tumbling down your shoulders, there’s always a time for a ponytail or bun.
The dreaded tanned palms and the tinted soles, they’re an instant giveaway that your tan may not be from that surprising burst of sunshine over the weekend. Use a tanning mitt to protect your hands and wash them as soon as you’re finished.
You’ve heard it before, but talking about dark patches, tan lotion or mousse can sink into dry skin, leaving a patchy effect that looks unnatural (and a little lizardy). Slough away those nasty bits, especially on spots like the knees, elbows, ankles, and heels. Use an exfoliator and a tanning primer.
Avoid using oil-based products or moisturisers immediately before tanning, they can leave behind residue that causes streaks.
The hormone changes in your body during pregnancy and certain medications can affect any tanning results, so when you call to make an appointment be sure to check if you should go ahead.
Start your tanning at the ankle and work upward, why? To save yourself from any weird marks left from bending over.
*Ssssshhh (sometimes mistakes can happen)*
Don’t panic! If streaks or splotches appear, gently rub a cut lemon on the area for a couple of minutes before lightly buffing it with a damp towel. You’ll smell great and be blotch free.
