7 Makeup Tips That Let Your Tan Do The Talking

7 Makeup Tips That Let Your Tan Do The Talking - Lusso Tan

When dreaming up the perfect product, we thought about what makes sun kissed skin feel so luxurious. Then, we quite literally put it in a bottle for you.

We want your glow to go the extra mile, so we’ve compiled our top 7 makeup tips that will let your tan do the talking.

Prep & Hydrate.

If your skin has been tanned by the sun, it’s more likely to be dehydrated. You’ll want to pay extra attention to moisturiser, SPF and apply a primer to ensure what ever follows applies smoothly without drying out or looking cakey. Moisturising Mist is an amazing addition to your makeup bag, to lightly spray throughout the day and to prep or set makeup.

Ditch the foundation.

A fresh tan should the skin not only beautifully bronzed but more even in tone. Applying a heavy foundation will subdue that glow. If you really have to, opt for light coverage through a tinted moisturiser or BB Cream or our finishing touch Skin Perfector. You can spot treat and brighten where needed with concealer.

Opt for creams over powders.

Cream products will blend subtly into the skin without overtaking your tan. You can still lightly set any areas of concern like your T Zone but don’t take the natural glow away from the rest of your face.

Focus of the cheeks.

There is no better way to accentuate a golden glow than to emphasize your cheek area. Rose and coral tones of blush will give more colour to the face and are our personal favourites, but golden bronzers will also flatter.
For a more natural look, why not give tantouring a go with Golden Glow Face Mist paired with a Fluffy Brush.

Statement Lips.

With bronze skin you can easily wear any coloured lipsticks and in fact your radiant skin will appear more blooming if you do. Think reds, orange and coral. Make your lips  the statement of your makeup and keep the rest of the look simple. Nudes and earthy shades will also compliment for an more understated effect.

Accent on the eyes.

Pinks are the most universally flattering and lighter colours like blush pink or warm peach will open up the eye area and awaken the face. Heavy shadows can weigh down the eyelids when sporting a deep tan.
Tightlined eyes pair perfectly with a red lip for a classic but simple evening look.

Lusso Tan highlighter. A finishing touch shimmer dust for sunkissed skin.
